What kinds of injection mold steel are commonly used
Commonly used injection mold steels include the following:
1. P20 die steel: with good machining performance and polishing performance, it is often used to manufacture plastic
molds with general requirements, such as polyethylene, polypropylene and other plastic molds.
2. 718 die steel: good comprehensive performance, can be used to manufacture large and medium-sized and complex
plastic molds, suitable for the production of polystyrene, ABS and other plastic molds.
3. S136 die steel: with excellent corrosion resistance and polishability, it is suitable for making plastic molds with high
surface quality requirements, such as making molds of PA+GF, PVC and other corrosive plastics.
4. NAK80 die steel: no heat treatment, machinability, corrosion, suitable for the production of high precision, high surface
requirements of the plastic mold, often used in the manufacture of transparent plastics such as PMMA, PC and other molds.
It should be noted that when selecting injection mold steel, in addition to considering the type of plastic, it is also necessary
to comprehensively consider the size, shape, production batch, service life requirements and other factors of the mold.
